An Update from Tom Greco About COVID-19


To Our Highly Valued Customers,

We are facing unprecedented times. As the COVID-19 situation evolves, I want to share some of the steps we are taking to safeguard our Customers, our Team Members and our Communities. In this time of great need for our country, our stores are open for business and we remain committed to serving our Customers, including additional fulfillment options. When access to food, supplies and potentially even medical assistance is paramount, America needs our vehicles running and in good working order, and we are committed to doing our part to ensure Americans have reliable transportation. This includes helping our Customers with the Automotive Parts, Hardware and Products they need at this difficult time.

As a result, we've elevated our focus on Care, as it pertains to both Customers and Team Members. Our Customers count on Advance and our Team Members to provide essential products and services to keep their vehicles running smoothly. Over the past few weeks, we've been responding to the impact of the coronavirus by taking Care of our Team Members. We've provided additional flexibility during this time in terms of both our attendance and sick leave policy as well as implementing emergency pay guidelines which includes additional paid sick time to Team Members who need it. We fully recognize how critically important our Team Members are to providing the Care our Customers need to repair their vehicles. We've also been rigorously cleaning and sanitizing our stores to help our Customers get back on the road safely.

In addition to a clear focus on Care, we're committed to serving our Customers how they choose to be served. In the current environment that means providing more flexibility in fulfillment and delivery options that place a premium on both Care and Speed. This includes some enhancements to our fulfillment options for Customers:

  • SAME DAY DELIVERY – We recognize our Customers may need products delivered to their homes more urgently and we have rapidly built capability to increase the speed of home delivery. In several markets, this includes our new Same Day Delivery Service, an enhancement to our Ship to Home Program that is already available. We are working urgently to accelerate our expansion of Same Day Delivery Service to more markets as soon as possible.
  • ORDER ONLINE and utilize our NEW FREE CURBSIDE DELIVERY option – Order online and pick up in store or have the part, hardware or product delivered curbside within 30 minutes.
  • FREE INSTALLATION AND STORE SERVICES – Our expert Team Members, including thousands of ASE Certified Technicians, will continue to provide battery and windshield wiper installation free of charge.

Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our Team Members, Customers and the Community. In a moment like the one we are currently facing, each of us is called upon to do our very best to help others. We are committed to doing our part to help America get through this difficult time.
