As the global professional association representing quality standards in executive search and leadership consulting, AESC knew how essential it was to visibly demonstrate our commitment, both as an association and as a profession, to inclusion, diversity, equity and access.
Working with CEOs from our member firms, we launched the AESC Diversity Pledge with signatories from AESC members around the world. We also developed a Diversity Leadership Council to bring together experts to focus on education, best practices and meaningful actions we can take to support the mission outlined in our pledge.
Through the AESC Diversity Pledge: We share a commitment to combat racism, prejudice, and discrimination within our own organizations, with candidates and the clients we serve, and in our communities. We pledge to use our collective voices and actions to help create a world that is inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible for all.
Currently more than 110 AESC member firms have signed on to pledge committing to specific actions, working collectively with AESC and its membership as well as independently in their own firms. We prominently feature the AESC Diversity Pledge on aesc.org and communicate to the public the actions we are taking to bring our pledge to life.
Karen B. Greenbaum, CEO, AESC
Diversity & Inclusion has always been an integral part of the AESC Code of Professional Practice, but in 2020 we concluded that we had to do more. We know that our members—the best executive search and leadership consulting firms in the world—can work collaboratively to be leaders of change. We know that a pledge is not enough. We need more than words—we need actions. I am so proud of the work we are doing to breathe life into our pledge through actions we are taking, as an association and through our members, that make a real difference.
