Build Awareness & Understanding

Challenge

Given our global presence across 100+ facilities and 23 countries, we understand, respect and embrace our many differences. We also rely on our unique perspectives, capabilities, innovation, and excellent science to change the world and improve the quality of people’s lives around the world. While there are many miles that geographically separate some of our global sites, we don’t want this distance to impede on our ability to continue building awareness and understanding of each other.

Actions

As a result, we’ve capitalized on our remote working situations and created a virtual DE&I learning plan and curriculum, starting with a 7-week Tackling Bias workshop for our top leaders, and Introduction to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for our global employee population. We’re also leveraging our Glint Engagement Pulse Survey feedback to conduct smaller group listening and on-going dialogue sessions, with a particular focus on belonging. Showing quick action and follow-up is a key part of our listening strategy and is being well received thus far.

Outcomes

Our people leaders and employees are developing a heightened awareness and competencies to engage in inclusive and respectful workplace actions and discussions.
